Many people come for their dog's portrait — and then ask about something else. A name, a date, a handwriting. Fine tattoos that only one person needs to understand: you.
Who it's for
There is no right age for a first tattoo.
A large part of my clients don't come at twenty, but at fifty, sixty or seventy. Often it is their first tattoo at all — and almost always it is about a person, not a motif.
We take our time. One appointment a day, no queue, no loud machines next door. You tell me what it is about, and together we find the smallest, finest form for it.

A name
Your child's name, your parents', someone who is no longer here. Small, fine, in a script that suits them.

A date
A birthday, a year, the day that changed everything. As a number, in Roman numerals, as a postage stamp.

A handwriting
A word written by someone you love. A drawing by your child. I trace the line exactly as it is.

A shared symbol
The same small motif as your daughter, your brother, your closest friend. Two arms, one story.
From one photo
A whole family in a single line.
Send me an old family photo — one of those sitting in a drawer — and I redraw it as a single fine line. No faces, no detail: only the posture, the shoulders, the way you stand together.
That is exactly how you recognise them. Strangers see four people. You see your parents and your siblings on the day that photo was taken.

Her grandmother's handwriting
The word and the heart are not mine — they are her grandmother's. I traced the line exactly as it was written.
Drawn by her child
Two stick figures and a “love you”, exactly as they appeared on the note. On her mother's wrist, for good.
A year
A postage stamp with a year on it. Anyone who reads it knows nothing. Anyone who knows it knows everything.
A number inside a heart
A locket with a number in it, and a bunch of tulips. Two small pieces that together tell one story.
The same butterfly, twice
One motif, two arms. Matching tattoos don't have to be large — they only have to belong to both of you.
Two words are enough
A short line on the forearm. Sometimes you don't need a sentence, just a reminder to yourself.
A quiet symbol
A fine ornament at the nape. No name, no date — just a sign that stands for something.
Two hands
A classic motif, finely done. Closeness, passing something on, a link between two people.
